  18. Effective immediately, IBM is withdrawing from marketing the IBM 4201
  19. Proprinter Model 001.

  21. IBM's  supply  of the product being withdrawn is limited.  New orders
  22. from non-VPA customers will not be  accepted  effective  immediately.
  23. Orders  from  VPA and Special Bid Customers for this product received
  24. by IBM before July 2, 1987, will be acknowledged on  an  as-available
  25. basis.   By August 2, 1987, either your order will be assigned an IBM
  26. estimated shipment date or you  will  be  notified  that  IBM  cannot
  27. accept your order.

  29. Orders  for which IBM has already assigned an estimated shipment date
  30. will be honored.    In  the  event  of  unavailability  of  the  4201
  31. Proprinter  Model  001, IBM will substitute the 4201 Proprinter Model
  32. 002 at no additional cost.  If you defer the estimated shipment  date
  33. of an on order product, the order may be cancelled by IBM.
  34.  
  35. Unscheduled  orders will be honored on an as-available basis.  By May
  36. 2, 1987, either your order will be assigned an IBM estimated shipment
  37. date or you will be notified that IBM cannot accept your order.
  38.  
  39. IBM maintenance and  other  customer  engineering  services  are  not
  40. affected  by  this announcement and will continue to be available for
  41. these machines.

  43. If you as a VPA/Special Bid customer have a requirement for these
  44. products, please notify your IBM marketing representative as soon as
  45. possible.
